I'm sure you must see the historical significance of this title fight. Never before have we seen the coming together of such a level of athleticism, pure physical gifts, technique, well roundedness and heart as in this very fight.
I'm not trying to start a shit storm, but where people like Fedor beat up physical speciments, or someone with an one dimensional game, and where people like Anderson Silva succeded with mastery of just the stand up game, Jones and Gus brought something new. A mastery of all fundamentals, compared to the fighters of old, combined with exceptional physical ability. It's my firm belief that this takes the sport to a new level. In my opinion, it's better losing such a fight, than dominating lesser fighters year after year. The fight is the fight :)
