Hi I'm a green belt in Judo and I'm looking to take up a striking art, I have no previous striking experience to speak of. My options are Muay Thai, boxing, or Savate. I lean more towards Muay Thai because i have a hunch the clinch aspects of it might overlap with judo a teeny bit, but I know boxing would be a lot of fun as well. I like Muay Thai and Savate because I did cross country and track in high school and I enjoy working up a good sweat and they both seem like a good cardio workout, though really so does
boxing. My other question is I guess which one has the most chill, relaxed atmosphere from your perspective, I know it varies on the teacher but I enjoy the camaraderie and chill atmosphere of judo and want something similar. And finally equipment cost, how much will I need to spend to get beginner quality gloves, pads, etc. Thanks for your input!
