Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like Edson Barboza gets no love on this board.
I've seen a lot of people bashing him because of his win against Njokuani, and now against Castillo.
He showed an amazing heart in the Castillo fight, he completely dominated him after nearly surviving the first round. And yes, he CLEARLY won that fight.
Say what you want but this was one of the best fight I've seen this year, and this kind of heart reminded me of Frankie Edgar against Maynard.
The guy is 7-1 in the UFC, and is very exciting to watch. Elite offensive striking skills, good TDD and he showed he can defend himself well on the ground.
He clearly needs to work on his boxing defense if he wants to make it in the Top 5.
I hope the UFC gives him Cerrone if he wins his next fight, and I'm gonna pick Barboza to win if it happens.
