With all the race baiting that has been on sherdog it got me thinking how almost universally liked most Asian fighters are. While I think it likely has to do with perceived lack of physical talent and thus requiring superior technical ability to win fights, it could also be due to a reverence for martial arts roots.
From Genki Sudo to Sakuraba, to Stun Gun and Korean Zombie. Incredibly beloved fighters. Korean Zombie was getting his name chanted in a foreign country against that countries own fighter. That never happens with other countries or races.
I don't want this to turn into a war of words but I thought it would be an interesting way to share my thoughts on the topic as well my love of Asian fighters. What are your guys thoughts?
