So, was just watching the Legendary Nights on Tyson/Douglas and one of the threads they kept focusing on was that Buster was the best fighter he could ever be on that night, and then obviously he tapered off fast and hard in terms of dedication and focus clear by how easily Holyfield defeated him.
Now my question is, if Buster had been able to channel the focus he had for the Tyson fight throughout the rest of his career, where would he have ended up? Could he have beaten Evander? Bowe? Lennox? Would he have been in that class, or would he have been with the Morrisons, Mercers, and the Ruddocks? Lower than that? Right where he is right now?
Where do you think a Buster Douglas that lived up to his full potential would have gone?
