People want to be liked, that includes Refs too...

I know this is sherdog, but seriously...

If it isn't a bad stoppage... its a terrible stoppage, it seems.

Ref's obviously shouldn't let outside influences effect their calls in the cage, but it's human nature.

Herb got so much shit for the Faber fight for an early(which I thought was just) stoppage... then at 170 he literally lets that kid almost die in there, in fear of stopping it too early. Literally gets called out on that instantly, then comes in and does the opposite with the main event, stopping it to early again.

Maybe people should just stop bitching and let people do their jobs. If refs didn't have to catch so much flack from the MMA community/media/Dana etc..., they would probably be more comfortable making calls in a fight.

MMA is the only sport I have ever heard of where the REFS get turned into these celebs and have to deal with so much nonsense outside of their jobs. Bad call in Football(american) people move on its just a bad call, no one cares about the actual ref or flames him/her.
IB4 I get flamed by keyboard warriors saying he shouldn't be a ref if he can't handle it.....
