Undefeated Brazilian Mario Israel will put his perfect record and Jungle Fight bantamweight title on the line when he faces fellow unbeaten Jonas Bilharinho at Jungle Fight 67.
Jungle Fight promoter Wallid Ismail on Sunday announced the matchup, which will take place in Foz do Iguacu, Brazil, on March 29.
Israel and Bilharinho were initially slated to square off for the vacant belt at Jungle Fight 56 in August, but a foot injury forced Bilharinho from the fight, and Israel instead captured the title with a second-round knockout of replacement Reginaldo Vieira. The bout was rebooked for Jungle Fight 61 in November, only for Israel to withdraw two weeks before the event.
Israel, 29, trains under coach Junior Cardoso at Top Life Amazonas in Manaus, Brazil. None of his nine fights have gone the distance, with six ending in submission and three via knockout.
A product of Rio de Janeiros Team Nogueira, 23-year-old Bilharinho has posted a 4-0-1 record in three years as a professional. All three of his Jungle Fight appearances have ended in knockouts, though it has been 10 months since his last outing, when Speed stopped Allan Miguel da Costa Dantas at Jungle Fight 51.
