I can see why Jones wants no part of Gus again.....
Jones finally was forced to fight an opponent who could match him in youth and size, in Gus...and look what happened.....Jones had his will broken and his body crushed by Gus....
Jones would rather keep on fighting smaller, older, weaker opponents (like Glover) who he knows he can dominate
The rematch everyone wanted with an equal sized, equal aged, much slicker, faster, much more skilled Gus? Nope
A PRIME STRONG olympic calibre wrrstler like Cormier? Nope
In fact Jones' ploy is to get Cormier and Gus to fight so that they can eliminate each other.
Lets call it like it is and be real about Jones
Jones has no budo....hes a size bully whos nothing but size and reach.....and he quack quack quacks...
There is also the way Jones fights dirty. He will keep his hand out there with fingers open stuck in an opponents face for long periods of time, which is illegal, to keep his smaller opponents at bay/block their vision.
Also will throw unsportsman oblique kicks to keep his smaller opponents at bay.Jones wins via size/reach/dirty tactics. There IS NO out standing technique involved in anything Jones does (Jones is insanely over rated, in resume and in skill)
All in all, Jones is one of the most disgraceful champs MMA has ever seen....and thats just keeping it real.
Jones represents everything thats wrong with MMA; his dirty tactics to win via constant face/eye raking and oblique kicks, the fact he embodies size and reach over skill etc (Jones is a size bully who refuses to fight equal sized or PRIME opponents)
When Gus gets the rematch he deserves I hope he finishes Jones. Gus as a champ will bring some actual class and skill back into the LHW crown.
