Dana's job is basically to sell fights and sell the promotion.
It's never been his job to tell the truth, and I have no idea what his input outside of selling is on the org. I don't think anyone knows what Dana actually does other than being a salesman.
The guy puts the thing together promoting the big fights, but if people think he makes final call on things like the Fedor issue, or which direction the company takes with things like boring wrestlers, who are very good MMA'ists, then that's always going to be a company direction thing, and probably comes from upstairs.
