I had an idea for voting in the U.S.

Just to get one thing clear, I was walking yesterday and this idea popped into my head, maybe it's terrible and stupid but I figured I'd put it out there anyway.

I think the elections in America are terrible. Last time Obama got 90% of the black vote, I saw something with Howard Stern where he went around asking black people who they were voting for and they said Obama, then he read out all the things that Obama was for and they all agreed with them even though they were actually for Obamas opponent.

I also saw a video Chris Rock made why white people should vote for Obama http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDxOSjgl5Z4 . I know that is on a joke show but it's true really.

After seeing that your elections are filled with celebrity endorsments and how false and terrible it is it just makes me cringe. If there was an election in America between Hitler and Gandhi it wouldn't mean anything. If Hitler had Lady Gaga, Jay Z, Will Ferrell and Snoop Dogg on his side he could just put them on twitter telling their millions of fans to vote for Hitler.

So I came up with a way for people to vote that will actually give the people what the truly want.

So you go into a voting booth and there is a touch screen computer in there, you type your details in about who you are. Then it asks you a series of questions. In these questions you have the choice of A or B/yes or no.

For a quick example

Candidate A is pro guns, death penalty and abortion
Candidate B is against guns, death penalty and abortion.

Question 1

Are you pro guns ?

you answered yes

Question 2

Are you pro abortion ?

You answered Yes

Question 3

Are you pro death penalty ?

You answered yes

Then after you're finish all the questions you press enter and it will say Thank you, you voted for Candidate A.

So you can't actually just vote for someone because of their skin colour or celebrity endorsment or because your family told you to. You actually have to answer questions and it gives you the correct candidate for how you really feeling.

I know you're saying but people just revise through all the stats of the candidates so even if they don't agree with candidate A they can still fool the machine by selecting the right answers. That's OK if they do that because one it means they will actually have to have learnt and studied about each candidates policies and also some people might actually realize that they don't the same person Lady Gaga has told them to vote for.

What do you think ?

The questions I posted were very basic but it was just an example, in reality the questions would be more complicated and better written.

It's just an idea but I don't think having people voting blindly is particularly good for your country.
