dark horse
noun:
a candidate or competitor about whom little is known but who unexpectedly wins or succeeds.
aka
The fighter waiting in the wings that you think will swoop in on the belt at some point in their career.
For me it's the ice cold Icelander
Gunnar Nelson

He def needs to face higher competition but he pretty much came in and bushwhacked all of his opponents by taking the fight to where they are weakest and finishing (except in the case of Jorge Santiago, but I couldn't believe he survived those uppercuts) Now Georges is gone, and a lot of the top beasts at WW are sniping each other off. I think this guy is the actual future of WW, not Rory Macdonald like the UFC is trying to force on us.
