Last week I made the 'do you see 'fake' happiness' thread. I guess as I've worked another week and thought some more on it, I've realized I've learned a lot about taking responsibility for what happens. Basically learning that actions, both good and bad, have consequences... and it's up to your actions to determine how they'll affect you.
It sounds simple, but it took a few things this year to really drive that home to me. It sucked because I had to go over and take responsibility for some things in my life that I thought I didn't have control over, but a new sense of clarity and productiveness has made me feel better, as well as a deeper understanding of interpersonal relationships. At the same time, it isn't all about blaming yourself, it helps you understand what was out of your control in the first place and rightfully letting it go.
It doesn't have to be long, what have you learned recently? It can come from something good, bad, logical (like a simple skill), etc.... as long as you're learning you're straight....
