Is Chael Sonnen somewhat sociopathic?

It seems like a pattern of corner cutting, lying and cheating has followed him. From the fraudulent real estate dealings, to getting nailed for PED's, and then always having a slick story to tell to explain it away, always seeming so earnest about wanting to do the right thing, but, "Oh gosh, I really should have reported such and such a bit differently, I know I goofed on that, but I really do believe in rules, bla bla bla." That was probably a scripted response he anticipated before he even took the test. Most people when they are caught with something like this, eventually just admit it because it takes an ungodly amount of energy to keep up a lie and sell it with conviction. Getting caught is in some sense a relief. But not for Chael - it's a chance to double down.

We know he's a great talker. When he told the title company what the repairs were for in the infamous real estate deal, I bet he said it with a professional smile and didn't even wince inside knowing full well he was lying his ass off. And there's a better than 50% chance he had done stuff like that numerous times before.

Chael has the ability to say absurdities with a straight face, which is part of what made him compelling selling his fights. At times it comes off as pure humor, like with some of his boasts about Anderson, but he can really make it sound like he believes it. He's trolling, but in a very unique way.

And the man wanted to run for office. I'm not going to say that everyone who pursues politics is a sociopath, but it is certainly a field in which people with sociopathic tendencies flourish. http://thinkprogress.org/justice/201...ge-sociopathy/

What do you guys think?
