Yesterday, I got severely out-squatted by some 17 year old kid, granted I think he is on some kind of youth national farm team for oly lifting and spends 5 days a week lifting, but still bruised my ego.
I deadlifted 180kg x 2 without chalk and belt yesterday and after squatting without too much trouble, which means I could probably do 190kg or maybe 195-200kg even with chalk and first up. That is a decent enough deadlift to me, yet my squat is at this point only at something like 3x5x110kg and my best 3x5 was 120kg and best one rep max 135kg. Not good at all.
I think I must have some weaknesses that I am not aware off. Could it be knees? I have meniscus tear and probably acl tear too.
Are there any common weaknesses or mistakes for those who can deadlift to standard but have substandard squats?
