Hold on, Dana White (http://www.bjpenn.com/ufc-boss-close...n-ny-for-2013/)! It looks like New York still has a shot at passing legislation to allow MMA events in the state. State Assembly Minority Leader, Brian M. Kolb, has called the assembly to reconvene and vote on several key bills. Among those bills, Kolb is calling to bring the MMA vote to the floor, something that has failed to happen in the past four years. We Left Albany With Far Too Much Unfinished Business, stated Kolb in an official statement. In addition to voting on measures that advance a womans agenda, the Assembly should bring a vote on Mixed Martial Arts legislation to the floor, a job-creating measure with more than 60 bill sponsors and bipartisan support in the Assembly. It remains to be seen if the New York Assembly will reconvene, but Kolbs call seems to ask the states representatives to use common sense and decency to vote on several issues that do nothing but help their citizens. The Assembly should return and act on the womens agenda, and on anti-corruption, job-creating, and public-safety measures to improve the quality of life for New Yorkers.
