With eight months elapsed since they held their last event, DARE Fight Sports out of Thailand hits the press today with news of a partnership with Seven Star Entertainment of China. The partnership sees DARE events being broadcast in China on the countrys largest TV network CCTV-5 and on NBC Sports in the United States. An MMA event on CCTV, Chinas public broadcasting network, is indeed a coup. The fact that MMA was banned in Thailand during the promotions sophomore year apparently has not slowed their urge for expansion.
DARE held two events its inaugural year of 2011, and three in 2012. DAREs last outing was a studio-held private event that was later broadcast fight by fight. No immediate details are available on how future events will be held, but the promotion says it is planning for 3 in 2013 and a move outside of Thailand after that.
