Cowboy Cerrone had another rough night the other day.
When I saw him dangling slowly from side to side, I was pretty sure he would lose. He reminded me of Uriah Hall, wondering if this was a practice session or fight night.
Dos Anjos was all business and showed a nice mix of takedown, striking, etc. Though he is not at GSP's level, Dos Anjos is getting pretty good at everything without being a wizard in any area. Tough, good takedowns, very decent boxing, etc. Great fight IQ.
As for Cowboy, we know he has a ranch, he does some rodeo, extreme mountain climbing and maybe some other type of stuff like that. The guy likes big thrills and I am sure that ridding a bull must provide a healthy dose of adrenaline.
That being said, does any of you think he still has a chance to ever rise again among the top 5 if he pushes all that stuff aside for the next couple of years to focus 100% on his MMA career?
The division is stacked with younger dudes that are focused on MMA 100%.
Do you see him slide out of the top 10 club permanently or do you see him coming back?
