I didn't even know he retired in 2011 as a Bellator fighter after being released by Zuffa. 2011 was the year we saw his master/mentor/makeup-adviser Hermes Franca go. I didn't know Pellegrino had followed suit.
Looking at the connection between the two and acknowledging their resemblance, I can't help but feel that Pellegrino's return to MMA evokes my memories of Franca as if he's the one coming back alive from the retirement.
I like Pellegrino and respect his fighting style. But in order to save me from having flashbacks of that despicable child molester, I'd want him to change his hair color and remove grotesque tattoos. Otherwise, I'm sure I'm gonna see Franca in him .
