so, most if not everyone has heard of Rickson Gracie and his legend. He's supposedly undefeated in the BJJ world, and as a brown/1st degree black belt absolutely wrecked 6th degrees and such.
my question is, is he really THAT good? Rickson comes from a time when BJJ was not too big on the international scale, besides Brazil and a medium-small rep in the US, BJJ wasn't too big, am i right?
if so, how can we say hes the best of all time and such, when the world championships he competed in were full of Brazilians and Americans? thats basically nationals but you get a different title. if he had been fighting those guys over and over again at nationals and world level, of course he's going to beat them, he knew how they moved and what they favored.
