"Oh, you're watching WWE?"

My mom can't distinguish MMA from WWE and it annoys me. How do we as MMA fans stop these associations being made between sports entertainment and our beloved legitimate sport? I grew up watching WWF/E, seeing the Dudley Boys power bomb old ladies, The Rock smack talking and partaking in his regular helping of putang pie, Edge boning Lita in the middle of the ring, Rikishi performing the Stink Face on Stephanie McMahon, etc. And honestly, I still love it. But it's hard to convince others to get into it when they think it's just some WWE clone. They don't realize that it's not fake and that people in MMA are true competitors. Anyone else heard this from their friends, significant others, mothers, etc.? How do you react to it?

Edit: She either says WWE or "wrassling".
