Ok, so technically my third day, but this was my first day not doing training. Since its summer break, my buddy got me a job at the Gander Mountain he works at, working in the atf department. First 3 hours I was there, we had no gun sales. Then, I showed a guy a gun. He looks at it for about a minute, and goes sure, I'll take this one.
I was thinking awesome, I got a $500 sale on my first day. An hour later, I'm talking with this other gentleman and convince him he should buy the 50 cal we have. Mind you, this is a $5800 gun. Now, being atf, we don't get commission on sales, so I give the sale to this guy Josh in the firearms department because he gets commission and was very helpful on my first day on the floor. The guy is coming back Friday to buy it.
Anybody else have a first day at a new job that went way better tham expected?
